Twilight and death of a planet

For the first time, a planet orbiting a red giant and at the end of its
life, is detected. The work is led by Jorge Lillo and David Barrado
(Center of Astrobiology, CSIC-INTA) and it has been produced by a
multidisciplinary team, from different institutions. The red giant
KOI-2133 has  very close planet (Kepler-91 b), which eventually will be engulfed by
the host star.

Departments and support units

The answer to questions about life and its origin come from the combined efforts of many disciplines

Research areas

The science developed in the CAB is channeled through interdepartmental research lines
