Searching LIFE in the Universe travels to Galicia

Astrobiology workshops have been held at the Casa de la Cultura in Cangas de Morrazo on the 19th and 20th of May.

The Astrobiology Center's laboratory truck ( CAB, CSIC-INTA) was installed in the Galician town of Cangas do Morrazo to become the link between the city and Astrobiology. Through simple experiments (extraction of DNA from a tomato, simulation of impact craters and cryomagmatism) CAB scientists have explained to students and the general public how LIFE is studied and how it is looked for outside of Earth through space exploration.

This educational project has been developed by the Scientific Culture Unit of the CAB and participates in the Science City program organized by the CSIC and sponsored by the "la Caixa" Foundation.
